Joseph Cheaney and Sons have been making shoes in the same small market town of Desborough in the heart of the Northamptonshire countryside since 1886. They are an independent family-owned English company, fully committed to handcrafting footwear entirely in their factory, from the cutting out of the leather through to the final polishing. When you choose Cheaney shoes, be assured that you are purchasing the finest English craftsmanship.
The Pennine IIR shoe has a bellows tongue and “of Veldtschoen” construction, a now rarely practiced shoemaking technique. It features a full leather lining, a Veldtschoen Commando rubber sole, and a rubber heel.
